Emma Charolette Duree Watson was born on April 15, 1990 in Paris, France to Chris and Jacqueline Watson, who were lawyers. She was their first child.
Three years after being born, her younger brother Alex Watson was born. A few short years after Alex was born Chris and Jacqueline divorced. Emma and
her brother Alex moved with their mother to Oxford, England.
In 1995, Emma attened St.Lynams, a pre prep for Dragon School. In September 1998 she moved up and went to the Dragon School. In here young years at the
school she enjoyed playing sports, dance, and academics. She took part in several plays playing the lead role a lot of the time. Plays in which she
starred where such as 'Arthur: The Young Years' and 'The Happy Prince'. However she didn't just starring in school plays. She also took part in many other
school productions and events, like the Daisy Pratt Poetry Competition, in which she won the first place for her year at age seven.
When the news of the Harry Potter Casting Team coming to the Schools around England in 2000, Emma gave it a try. A few days later she was called into
David Heyman's office with a boy named Rupert Grint. David reported to them that Emma was casted as Hermione Granger and Rupert was casted as
Ron Weasley. In late 2000, Filming on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone started. Along with Emma were her two
leading boys, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley). While filming her movie debut, Emma stayed strong in her school
work and continued to work hard for her A's. As the movie's opening grew closer, Emma was nervous as the fans were waiting for the much awaited film
version of a favorite film.
On November 16, 2001 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone opened in theaters. The weekend Box Office broke records with $317,557,891. With the record
under their belt, making Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was inevitable. Critics raved about Emma's perfomance as Hermione calling her "outstanding".
Just 3 Days after finishing filming the first one, the second installment began. All the cast and then some were casted to play in the new film. Throughout 2002, Emma filmed Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The film was sure to be a success and
was much awaited by the fans. On October 25, 2002, tragic struck for the Harry Potter cast. They had all recieved news of Richard Harris' Death. Richard
Harris portrayed Dumbledore in the first two films.
On November 15, 2002, the 2nd film was released. The Box Office reached another high reaching $261,970,615. Emma attending Premieres and promted her
movie around the globe. She was proud of the film and was ready to do the show to the end. She still stood strong with academics and kept her mind
in the right direction. After taking a 3 month Winter break, Emma returned to filming for the third installment of the Harry
Potter Series. On board with a New Director, Emma was sure to challenge her self with this new film. Emma got to punch a boy, push harry around, save
a hippogriff, and proove how strong she really was. Working closely with Alfonso Cauron, she prooved to be a great actress.
During the Summer of 2004, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was released. The long awaited film brought another $249,358,727 to it's name.
The movie was released June 4, 2004. With over 800 milion dollars to it's name, it made the Harry Potter series the most acclaimed and beloved fantasy
series to hit the Big Screens. In Late 2004 Emma began filming Harry potter and the Goblet of Fire. The new installment was sure to prove that
love was not something you just read in the history books, and perhaps that guy is quite sure of himself yet. Mike Newell, the new director, mad the film
feel as if you were are school. Emma, who already enjoyed that, was on and ready to go as her beloved character Hermione.
November 18, 2005 marked the spot for the release of the fourth installment. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire showed what the films could do giving
the box office another $289,994,397 to its name. Harry Potter was the first Film Series to make over a billion dollars and have billions of Fans all over
the world. As the Harry Potter Fans became more and more anxious, the fifth film was going to show just how far the level
of acting can push you. Emma, having to push her limits, again showed the fans her level of capibiliaty, she could get to. Emma showed her self more as an
actress. That, in part, winning her a role in a Revival of Ballet Shoes.
July 11, 2007 was the release day of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The film won over the box office again with $292,000,866. In honor of
Emma, Daniel, and Rupert's work the three were inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Along with that, Emma won Best Actress at the 1st Annual National
Movie Awards. To break the mold of being Hermione Granger, Emma took on new heights and measures. She played Pauline Fossil
in the Revival T.V. Film Ballet Shoes. The Movie, released on Christmas 2007, showed 3 girls with ambitions of difference and how you can really reach
your dreams.
As Emma's world of work and acting comes upon we will see her greatest acts, her show offs, and her thrillers. All Emma needs now is the support of
fans and those who follow her career. Emma's continued work in films will win her the hearts of many and the roles of a lifetime.
In late 2007 Emma launched her Offcial Website to keep her fans update to date on her latest creer updates.
Jo and Emma keep the site real with Fan Art and Messages to the Fans. Also providing E.M.S., emma messaging system, which gave fans a personal message
from Emma Herself. The site was a hit and has continued to be one.
